PART ONE: WHO IS ZECAHARIA SITCHIN?
Sitchin is an eminent Oriental & Biblical scholar, who distinguised himself with his ability to translate ancient Sumerian and other ancient texts. He is a graduate of the University of London and worked as a journalist & editor in Israel for many years. He now lives & writes in New York.
In the introduction to the above-captioned book, Sitchin asks the question: WILL THE PAST BECOME OUR FUTURE? In his past works of THE EARTH CHRONICLES, it was seen from MAN's perspective....Now, in this present work, Sitchin recreates the memories of the leader of the ANUNNAKI: ENKI! He does this through an exhaustive search of primary sources, which showed a combination of deep rivalry between the two brothers (ENKI & ENLIL,) plus a sophisticated scientific knowledge that is ONLY TODAY being confirmed ~ which may challenge every previous assumption we may have held dearly!!!

ABZU: Enki's gold mining domain in southern Africa.
ADAMU: The first successfully genetically engineered Primitive worker ~ THE ADAM.
ADAPA: Son of Enki by an Earthling female (focused on in PART THREE) and the Biblical ADAM
ALALU: The deposed king of NIBIRU (the 12th planet) who escaped to Earth and discovered gold (needed on NIBIRU to preserve their atmospere) - which will make Alalu IMPORTANT again while in exile....[This actually is the situation that creates our story ~ and US!!!] INCIDENTALLY, his image was carved on a rock on MARS that was his tomb. HELLO?
ANU: Nibiru's ruler when the Anunnaki came to Earth; it is also the planet called Uranus.
The ANUNNAKI: Those who "from heaven to earth came" or from Nibiru to the Earth. [astronauts]
ASAR: The Egyptian god called Osiris. [He is an important figure later in our story.]
ASTA: The Egyptian goddess called Isis, sister-wife of Asar.
BABILI: "Gateway of the gods"; BABYLON, Marduk's city in Mesopotamia.
BLACK-HEADED PEOPLE; The Sumerian people.
BLACK SKYBIRD: The aerial vehicle of Nirnurta (son of ENLIL)
CEDAR MOUNTAIN: (In present day Lebanon where the SLAB OF BAALBECK still exists...HMMMMM!) oh, and the abode of ENLIL.
CIVILIZED MAN:[A sorry term for US,] which was started by ADAPA, as indicated above.
DAWN & DUSK: Earthling females impregnated by ENKI; mothers of ADAPA & TITI [Eve]

ENKI: "Lord Earth"; also known as EA = "Whose home is water;" first son of ANU and half-brother to ENLIL, who are bitter rivals for ascendency.
ENDUBSAR: The scribe to whom ENKI dictated his memoir.
EVIL SERPENT: Derogatory epithet for MARDUK by his enemies.
FOREMOST SON: The son born to a ruler by a HALF-SISTER, and therefore the legal heir...and the reason ENKI was "cut-out." [[This same reasoning was used in our Bible.]]
GALZU: A mysterious divine emissary who conveyed the messages in dreams and visions. [A key figure in the direction of our story - eventually.]
A GREAT CALAMITY: The devastation in the aftermath of the NUCLEAR holocaust in 2024 B.C. [This revelation is outlined and even confirmed by Sitchin in his book, "THE WARS OF GODS & MEN."]
THE HAMMERED BRACLET: The Asteroid Belt; also called the Firmament...but in reality, the residue created after one of NIBIRU's moons cleaved an olden planet ~ TIAMAT, which created both our present EArth, which itself took one of TIAMAT's moons (KINGU) with it into its present orbit about 4 billion years ago, according to the Sumerian myths.
IBRU-UM (Ibruum): Scion of the priestly royal family from Nippur & Ur, the Biblical Abraham. [[I show this link in a footnote in my manuscript, "THE BUD & THE BLOSSOM," which shows the clear link between THE JEWS as linked to the Anunnaki priestly line, as reported by Sitchin, who himself is a Jewish author.]]
IGIGI: The three hundred Anunnaki assigned to shuttlecraft and the way station on Mars, abducted female earthlings as wives; frequent rebels.
INANNA: Infamous granddaughter of ENLIL who is also known as ISHTAR in Akkadian, and asociated with the planet Venus. [[From all I read, she was nothing but trouble to all she encountered, (especially men who would wind up "dead" after a sexual encounter with her.]]
KI: Firm ground; the planet Earth.
LAHMU: The planet we call Mars.
LAND BEYOND THE SEA: The Americas; settled by Ka-in's descendents (CAIN); overseen by Ninurtu, son of ENLIL.[[INCIDENTALLY, within the EARTH CHRONICLES, Sitchin makes the observation that the 'MARK OF CAIN' may well have been the genetic "decoding" of the gene for facial hair...so they could easily be recognized as a people; if you invert KA-IN...you get IN-CA or people without facial hair! cf. Sitchin's "THE LOST REALMS" for details on Cain ]]
LANDING PLACE: The platform for skyships and rocket ships in the Cedar Mts. [[NOTE: The mysterious SLAB OF BAALBECK, which no man or machine can lift, weighing a staggering thousand tons, is located in this area; cf. the fascinating book by Sitchin, "STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN" for details.]]
LOWER WORLD: The southern hemisphere including southern Africa & Antartica.
LULU: The genetically engineered hybrid; the Primitive worker. [[There still may be some left around in work areas throughout the world, perhaps sitting next to you at your place of employ?]]
MARDUK: Firstborn son & legal heir of ENKI & DAMKINA; worshiped as RA. He was jealous of his brother THOTH, which led to many complications & strife.
NERGAL: A son of ENKI and ruler of the lower Abzu; helped to unleash nuclear weapons with Nirurta...[[AND THINGS HAVE NOT GOTTEN MUCH BETTER SINCE THEN!]]
NINGISHZIDDA: (THOTH) Son of ENKI and master of genetics and other sciences; went to the Americas with many followers when he was banished by half-brother MARDUK-RA. [[INCIDENTALLY, in the next section, this will lead to the "defacing" of another stone monument....Insights on this amazing personality are presented in yet another Sitchin book called, "WHEN TIME BEGAN" and well worth the reading!]]
SHAMGAZ: Leader of the IGIGI and instigator of the abduction of Earthling females. [[NOTE: SEMIHAZAH was the leader of THE WATCHERS who mated with human beings as per Elaine Pegals' book, "THE ORIGIN OF SATAN" in reporting on the FIRST BOOK OF ENOCH; also, on another note ~ SEMJASE or SEMJAZE was the name of the beautiful "woman" who came from elsewhere and discussed "philosophy" with the CONTACTEE ~ Billy Meier...which I find more than coincidental: cf. Richard Thompson's very insightful book, "ALIEN IDENTITIES" for the details of SEMJASE's convoluted philosophy.]]
WINGED SERPENT: {{{THIS MAY BE A CLUE}}} ~ This was the epithet for THOTH in the Americas....[[In PART FIVE, I will discuss an interesting alien abduction case that involves the emblem of the same WINGED SERPENT!!! STAY TUNED.]]
AND LASTLY, ZIUSUDRA: Hero of the Deluge, a son of ENKI by an Earthling; also known as the Biblical NOAH.
PART TWO: SOME HIGHLIGHTS OF THE 14 TABLETS OF ENKI AS DICTATED TO HIS SCRIBE:
{Tablet one): NIBIRU is in trouble with a dwindling atmosphere. ALALU, the "usurper" uses nuclear weapons to stir volcanic gases. ANU deposes ALALU, who escapes the planet in a spacecraft.
(Tablet two): ALALU heads for Earth where he suspects he will and DOES find gold...which is necessary to repair the atmosphere on NIBIRU, which has a dwindling supply of. This now makes ALALU important again.
(Tablet three): After the Nibiruans get the newes from ALALU, ENLIL, son of ANU, demands on-site inspection; the council chooses his half-brother, EA (ENKI) to head the expedition to Earth. They land successfully and find that ALALU's claim is true; however, upon returning, they find forbidden nuclear weapons in ALALU's ship, so EA & ABGAL decide to hide them.
(Tablet four): EA finds much gold in the Abzu (Africa) and is renamed ENKI (Earth's master)...while both ANU & ENLIL come to Earth to make critical decisions. Before his return home, ANU is attacked by ALALU. The judges decide to exile ALALU to Mars where he is subsequently found dead by the medical officer. A ROCK CARVED TO RESEMBLE ALALU's face IS SET UP AS HIS TOMB. ANZU is given command of the Way Station on Mars (Lahmu). [[NOTE: Sitchin does not mention the region on Mars, but could it be Cydonia, and if so, could not the FACE ON MARS = ALALU??? After all, how many faces are there on Mars???]]
(Tablet five): [[THE ROOT OF PHYSICAL MAN - US!]]
Because of the hardships of looking for and mining gold, the IGIGI decide to rebel against ENLIL, who was left in charge by his father ANU. Although NINURTA (son of ENLIL) defeats ANZU (new leader of IGIGI), others mutiny against ENLIL and want to kill him. ENKI steps in with a plan to create a Primitive Worker (LULUs) who will replace the very dissatisfied IGIGI.
(Tablet six): After much haggling, the Anunnaki agree to go along with ENKI'S plan to take an indiginous being, living in the wild of the Abzu, and akin to the Anunnaki, but needed "upgrading-biogenetically" to bring it up-to-speed so it could follow instructions and mine the gold. This became the hybrid known as ADAMA, who could not reproduce. THOTH, however, added "two essence branches to their life Tree" which muchly upset ENLIL, who expels the Earthlings (from the Edin.) [[NOTE: Lloyd Pye, a bone specialist, gives his theory as to what EXACTLY this indiginous being is: cf. EVERYTHING YOU KNOW IS WRONG for the amazing theory; {hint: it is not Homo Erectus.} ]]
(Tablet seven): [[THE DAWNING OF "GENESIS"]]
ENKI - disappointed with his own FATE, promises supremacy to his son, MARDUK....Meanwhile, he impregnates two Earthlings (Dawn & Dusk) who produce Adapa & Titi (Adam & Eve)...who are the first CIVILIZED MAN since, as recounted, were highly intelligent (having the genes of ENKI.) Their sons were Ka-in & Abael or Cain & Abel, [[which absolutely reflects the beginning of the Old Testament, albeit in quite an unorthodox manner, to say the least!]]
(Tablet eight): Adapa is brought to NIBIRU by ENKI and justifies his actions by stating that his creations will be good for supplying food for the home planet, i.e. Adapa is sent back to start farming & shepherding, while ENKI &ENLIL create crop seeds & sheep lines. [[I think this brings new meaning to the term: MAKE YOURSELF USEFUL!]]
ALSO, NINURTA teaches Ka-in crop cultivation. MARDUK teaches Abael shepherding & woolmakiang. While fighting over water, Ka-in kills Abael and is sentenced to exile.
Adapa, on his deathbed, blesses Sati(Seth) and his descendent, Enkime (Enoch) is taken to Lahmu by MARDUK. [[One wonders out loud at this point if this is what Enoch recounted in the FIRST & SECOND BOOKS OF ENOCH~~~~~~~HIS TRIP TO MARS?!?]]
(Tablet nine): [[Things start to unravel]]
Adapa's line serves as royalty...The IGIGI descend to Earth to steal females since MARDUK is marrying an Earthling...[[as in, what's good for the goose is good for the gander, I guess.]] ENKI is at it again by begetting a human son, Ziusudra (Noah) [[and we all know from our Biblical studies,that something TERRIBLE is about to happen]] so ENKI, knowing that there will be a deluge coming, [[cf. THE 12TH PLANET for details on how he knew this,]]~ he, as a good scientist, starts to gather the Earth's seeds of Life; meanwhile, the Anunnaki are preparing to [[get-out-of-town]] and back to their home planet.
(Tablet ten): The mystery emissary appears to ENKI in a dream-vision: SAVE MANKIND THROUGH ZIUSUDRA!
Of course, as recounted in the EARTH CHRONICLES, this is no easy task, since he had to promise the ANUNNAKI that he would not interfere with the destruction of mankind (in keeping with ENLIL's wishes.) [[BUT ENKI IS ONE CAGEY "GUY."]] He decides to talk to himself when he knows Noah is listening...and he just happens to describe how to build a submarine to withstand the coming calamity.++
++ [[SPECIAL NOTE: In the tractate, 'The Apocryphon of John,' found within THE NAG HAMMADI LIBRARY, it states that Noah was taken up and hidden in a "luminous cloud" ~ so we may have a story within a story within a story....]]
Needless to say, ENLIL was not pleased when he returned to find that some men had survived, but as usual, ENKI was there to smoothe out the situation, explaining to his half-brother that all was for the good and divinely ordained. [[LUCKY FOR US?!?]] The ANUNNAKI went about their business of building another SPACEPORT, (the first one, reported on in THE 12TH PLANET, being destroyed by the tidal wave and flooding waters; this necessitated building two artificial mountains as 'markers'[[for incoming spacecraft]] which were the GREAT PYRAMID & ITS COMPANION,(smaller but of the same height,) as well as the LION-SHAPED CARVING [the sphinx]....
(Tablet eleven): The lands are divided: The spaceport (TILMAN)is declared a neutral zone; MARDUK gets the Dark Lands; the ENLILITES the Olden Lands; MARDUK's grandsons quarrel and SATU murders ASAR (Osiris); impregnating herself, ASAR's wife ASTA (Isis) bears a son HORON (Horus) who avenges his father's death.
[[ENTER ROMEO & JULIET]]: Since these two clans were always fighting, it was inevitable that a woman (ENLILITE-INANNA) would fall in love with ENKI's son DUMUZI. Somehow, MARDUK causes DUMUZI's death, and INANNA dies (but is later resuscitated by ENKI) after she is cruelly killed by ENKI's sister. INANNI is naturally very upset and declares war on MARDUK, who hides in the GREAT PYRAMID. Thie pyramid is sealed to insure MARDUK's death, but THOTH knew how to save him [since he was responsible for its erection]....When all is said and done, MARDUK must go into exile, and the remaining sons of ENKI & ENLIL divide the Earth among themselves. [[I bet you did not learn this in history 101 or 102 either?]]
(Tablet twelve): THE LANDS ARE DIVIDED: Man's first civilization is set up in the First Region (Sumer)...MARDUK usurps a site to build an illicit launch tower & seizes the Second Region; he deposes and exiles THOTH to distant lands (the Americas) and declares himself ~ RA ~ the supreme god in a new religion with Pharonic reigns to mark a new civilization. INANNA is granted dominion over the Third Region (Indus Valley.)
(The [unlucky] Tablet thirteen): [[THE END IS NEAR!]]
MARDUK proclaims the coming Age of the Ram as his sign...The mystery emissary appears to ENLIL and foretells calamity and instructs ENLIL to select a worthy man to lead survival. ENLIL chooses Ibruum, scion of the priestly royal family.
Armies raised by NABU (a son of MARDUK,) attempt to seize the spaceport; overruling ENKI, the gods resort to "weapons of terror" (nuclear) and NINURTA & NERGAL (from both clans) obliterate the spaceport and sinning cities.
THE DRIFTING NUCLEAR CLOUD ~ "THE EVIL WIND" BRINGS DEATH TO ALL IN SUMER!!! [[cf. "THE WARS OF GODS AND MEN" for all of the ugly details; the year is 2024 B.C.]]
(Tablet fourteen): Babili (Babylon) MARDUK's favorite city survives the calamity, and this is seen as a sign of his supremacy, so ENLIL retreats to far away lands.
ENKI sees the Past as a guide foretelling the Future, so he decides to commit all as a record for posterity.
PART FOUR: TIDBITS & KEY PAGES to "THE LOST BOOK OF ENKI"
Whose face is staring out from Mars? These are the words of ENKI:
"The Seven Who Judge sentence Alalu to exile on Lahmu
Anu's daughter Ninmah, a medical officer, is sent to Earth
Stopping off at Lahmu (Mars) she finds Alalu dead
A rock, carved to resemble Alalu's face, serves as his tomb
Anzu is given command of a Way Station on Lahmu." [p.84]
ENKI on ADAM & EVE:
"Unlike all other Earthling's children the twosome were:
Slower to grow up than Earthlings they were, much quicker in understanding they were;
With intelligence they were endowed, of speaking with words capable they were.
Beautiful and pleasant was the girl, with her hands she was greatly dextrous;
Ninki, the spouse of Enki, to Titi took a liking, all manner of crafts she was her teaching.
To Adapa Enki himself teachings gave, how to keep records he was him instructing."[p.169]
ENKI on the Leader of the IGIGI:
"In a great number did the Igigi from Lahmu to Earth come,
Only one third of them on Lahmu stayed, to Earth came two hundred.
To be with their leader Marduk, his wedding celebration to attend, was their explanation;
Unbeknownst to Enki and Enlil was their secret: To abduct and have conjugation was their plot.
Unbeknownst to the leader on Earth, a multitude of Igigi on Lahmu got together,
What from Marduk permitted is from us too should not be deprived to each other they said....
The daughters of Earthlings, the Adapite Females as them they called,
They saw and after them they lusted; and to each other the plotters said:
Come, let us choose wives from among the Adapite Females, and children beget!
One among them, Shamgaz his name was, their leader became....
One by one others to the plot joined together, by an oath together to do it they swore....
After the wedding ceremony of Marduk and Sarpinir had taken place,
By a signal prearranged Shamgaz to the others a sign gave.
An Earthling maiden each one of the Igigi seized, by force they then abducted,
To the Landing Place in the Cedar Mountains the Igigi with the females went,....
Alarmed the leaders were, of Marduk, the Igigi commander, charge to take they demanded....
So did Marduk to the others say. What I have done from them cannot be deprived!
Enki and Ninmah their heads shook, with begrudging agreement they voiced....
With much disgust was Enlil speaking. Let the Igigi and their females from the Earth depart!....
In his heart things against Marduk and the Earthlings was Enlil plotting.
Upon the Landing Platform in the Cedar Mountains were the Igigi and their females secluded,
Children there to them were born, Children of the Rocketships they were called." [pgs.200-202]
ENKI identifying ASTROLOGICAL ages with personalities:
"In the Age of the Bull, to Enlil dedicated, was the count of Earth years begun." [p.276]
ENKI on THOTH nad THE WINGED SERPENT!
"Of the destruction of hidden things Marduk Ningishzidda (THOTH) accused....
Pay heed, I am here in my proper place Marduk to Ningishzidda said....
But if to rebellion you are inclined, to another land go away you must!....
Then Enki, their father, to Ningishzidda said: For the sake of peace, to other lands depart!
To go to a land beyond the oceans Ningishzidda chose, with a band of his followers thereto he went.
Six hundred and fifty Earth years was the time of the count,
But in the new domain, Where Ningishzidda the Winged Serpent was called, a new count of its own began. [[OF COURSE, THIS REFLECTS THE REASON FOR THE JEWISH CALENDAR preceding THE CALENDAR IN THE NEW WORLD before the TIME OF CHRIST, since the Americas was the home of the NEW COUNT!!!]]....
Marduk, as Ra, the Bright One, was worshipped; Enki as Ptah, the Developer, was venerated.
Ningishzidda as Tehuti, the Divine Measurer, was recalled;
To erase his memory, Ra on the Stone Lion [the Sphinx?] his image with that of his son Asar (Osiris) replaced." [pgs.284-285]

ENKI on DREAMS ~ VISIONS ~ PROPHECIES:
"As he approached and by Enlil's bed stood, Enlil the white-haired Galzu recognized.
In his left hand a tablet of lapis lazuli he was holding, the starry heavens on it were designed;
By the twelve constellation signs were the heavens divided, to them with his left hand Galzu pointed.
From the Bull to the Ram Galzu his pointing shifted; three times the pointing he repeated....
In three celestial portions the Ram of Marduk the Bull of Enlil will replace,
One with himself as Supreme God has declared supremacy of Earth will seize.
A calamity as has never before occurred, by Fate decreed, will happen!
As at the time of the Deluge, a righteous and worthy man must be chosen,
By him and his seed will Civilized Mankind, as by the Creator of All intended, be preserved!
So did Galzu, the divine emissary, to Enlil in the dream-vision say." [p.303]
ENKI on the Departure of the gods: [TEMPORARILY?]
"Let the rank of fifty, by me (Enlil) for Ninurta intended,
to Marduk instead be given, [thereby accepting the divine vision of Galzu]
Let Marduk over the desolation in the Regions his supremacy declare!
As for me and Ninurta, we will in his way no longer stand.
To the lands beyond the Oceans we will depart, what we had all had come for,
The mission to obtain for Nibiru gold we will complete!
So did Enlil to Enki say; dejection was in his words....
Is not in that too a lesson? Enki asked them both.
Is not what on Earth happened, what on Nibiru had taken place mirrored?
Is not in that tale of the Past the outline of the Future written?
Will Mankind, in our image created, our attainments and falls repeat?
Enlil was silent....
Shall we meet again, onEarth or on Nibiru? Enki asked.

DOES THE PRESENT REFLECT THE PAST????
As a cross-disciplinary researcher over many years, I could not help to link a certain anecdotal story as related under regressive hypnosis by a Nebrask State Policeman, recounting his vivid abductionexperience on a UFO:
Staring me in the face was a picture of a WINGED SERPENT on the uniform of one of the captor-beings of Herbert Schirmer. [[cf. Michael Hesemann's book, UFOs: A SECRET HISTORY, p.359.]] Of course they did not say that they were from Nibiru, but when was the last time you trusted what was said by a being from a UFO???
I mention this little detail, because in ufology, Schirmer was determined to be telling the truth as he understood his "missing time"...as had happened to many a sincere abductee such as Janet Russell, of whom I had personally documented her experience in my own manuscript, THE BUD & THE BLOSSOM.
WHAT IF??? What if these beings were part of the ONGOING "followers" of THOTH (THE WINGED SERPENT) who, because of the possibility that it would not be safe to go back to Nibiru (ENLIL & ENKI WOULD DIE!) - then maybe their sons are still here also - with their fellow-Anunnaki followers in UFOs!?!
THERE ARE MANY "WHAT~IFs "FACING US IN THIS INFORMATION IF IT INDEED IS TRUE....One reason I spent so much time with the Sitchin material was because it answered so many baffling questions about ~ not only the Bible ~ but also the many mysterious megaliths on our planet that no one else has put into such a comprehensive storyline, such as THE GREAT PYRAMID ~ THE SPHINX & THE SLAB OF BAALBECK!
NOT ONLY THAT, but also how the Sumerians "myths" enabled Sitchin to predict to N.A.S.A. the composition of Neptune, based on N.A.S.A.'s viewing of Uranus via the Voyager II.
